THE QUIET

Moving on to something a little quieter, we have the aptly-titled THE QUIET, which stars Camilla Belle, Edie Falco, Martin Donovan, and the so-damn-sexy-it-hurts hottie known as Elisha Cuthbert. Ms. Belle plays a deaf teenaged orphan who goes to live with an upper-class suburban family -- a family with some truly disturbing skeletons in their collective closet. Darkly amusing, mildly upsetting, and ultimately pretty damn satisfying, the movie (from BUT I'M A CHEERLEADER director Jamie Babbitt) is one that should be making the arthouse rounds before too long, but be sure to catch the flick when it hits DVD, but only if you enjoy bleak sexual material, shocking plot divergences, and the so-damn-sexy-it-hurts face (and body) of Elisha "24" Cuthbert. Seriously, fellas, she's almost TOO hot!
